Wagging tails. Open, happy faces. Energetic play and new friends. If dogs could design a perfect world, that’s what they would want.
Dog World Bedrock Kennels offers an exceptional twist. We have tailored programs to meet the needs of social and non-social canines. Our focus is to ensure each guest receives a fun-filled and safe dog adventure.
Established in 1988 (by Kim Holden) and incorporated in 1990, Dog World Bedrock Kennels is a 50-acre facility 20 minutes from Ottawa where our team of trainers and dog handlers have spent years making dogs — their management, care and well being — our top priority.
With parks galore, groomed nature trails, indoor play areas, cozy lounges and our grand splash water park, we guarantee your pet will enjoy their adventure here at Dog World Bedrock Kennels.
Our team:

A pioneer in offering Ottawa and the Valley activity-based dog handling. Kim's dream was to give dogs and their owners more than just kennels with dogs in runs who could let themselves in and out of a doggie doors to a yard.

Through courses, workshops and seminars, Kim uses her deep wealth of knowledge of dog handling to connect with all temperaments, breeds and behaviours. In addition to her work with dogs, Kim has also written and developed the two manuals, for sick and injured dogs and evacuation & emergency procedures, which are currently referenced by the City of Ottawa.

Sarah Mather’s passion for dogs began with her family’s successful Rhodesian ridgeback breeding program. Growing up around the conformation and obedience rings, Sarah brings experience handling dogs of all shapes and temperaments; and strives to bring out the best in each of them. With her own ridgeback, Nuru, Sarah is currently working towards earning his titles in sport and conformation. Sarah continues her canine education with courses in Canine first aid, obedience and handling.
Brad Harrod could be considered one of the top animal behaviourists around!

Having worked with thousands of animals, he has dedicated the last 10 years to developing his behavioural program, which focuses on pro-active training, positive experiences and building the overall confidence of each animal he works with.

A program he has applied with great success to his two Dobermans:

Ch "Back Up" CGN, CD
each honourary members of the Dog World team.
